Recipe: Falafels
2 cups chick pea flour
1 cup of chopped parsley
1/4 cup of water
1 medium onion chopped
5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp coriander
1/2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp baking powder
1 large bottle of safflower oil for frying
sesame seeds
tahini for drizzling
Directions:
In a large bowl mix together the spices, flour, and baking powder lightly.
Add in all of the ingredients except the water and sesame seeds. Throw
that mixture in a food processor and blend very well until the flour becomes
moist
and doughy. Then and the water and blend it a bit more. Roll the dough
into balls and cover them with sesame seeds. In a large frying pan or pot
bring
the oil to a medium high temperature slowly. When it is hot drop the falafel
balls in and fry for a few minutes until golden-darkish brown. Cover them
with tahini and enjoy.
